New D! Award for Slimane Toubal – Mercedes 300SL Gullwing – June 13rd
The MERCEDES 300 SL is one of the most beautiful car in the automotive design. Since the first version from 1954 this car became a dream car .
After 58 years , the car is still a legend and there are different version from MERCEDES , and different one from designers ,who dreams about it.
Slimane is an automotive design modeler. His experience (over 20 years ) in the different cars company as clay modeler or digital modeler gives him the knowledge to interprete design. The 300 SL Gullwing is one of his favorite car. He didn’t use any sketch to build the car, just the blueprint of the actual Mercedes SLS as package.Some picture of the original one to try to keep the DNA of it, without copy ,the three stripes on the body side symbolise 300. The wheels have a vintage tendance with the bars, three on each branch for 300. This could be a nice 60 years anniversary version for 2014
