Designed by Gabriel Tam (Royal College of Art, UK) and released in 2008, the Gem Square is part of the award winning V4 Cordless Lamp range. The injection moulded diffuser has been designed to replace the labor intensive hand-made resin diffuser (outer shell/ body), with the objective of retaining the overall look and feel of the resin diffuser. By selecting Plexiglas df23 8N, a special light diffusing molding compound, we were able to create a lamp with a unique thick wall design that provides excellent light transmission with a good diffusion of light, superior durability and whist remain fully recyclable.
